It's a
miracle!
My childhood home's spiritual rites, through an adult and distanced lens.
How could I reconnect with faith? Anything worthwhile telling?
As a photographer, taking a look into a vulnerable event for others is tricky -- even more so when there's a connection, faint that it might be, that connects faith into that passion.
The local religious festivities in Salta, Argentina are out of this world: When stricken by great earthquakes almost 350 years ago, people found solace in their faith of Jesus and the Virgin Mary -- el Señor y la Virgen del Milagro. Legend says they found the town by chance, and it was then saved.
Salta is the home that I found when I was born. From where I moved on, to build my life. And which I want to reconnect with. And hopefully, finally, understand this feeling that oh-so-greatly moves my fellow countrymen and women.

Being vulnerable is a big lift for most: it requires blood, sweat and tears -- and lots. It is deeply personal, too. And when achieved, it means to be seen in the world.
Who am I to tell a tale about this extraordinary popular experience folks go through?
Around 700 thousand souls took communion with this massive of a phenomenon -- and, to be honest I still do not understand it as an adult. But it moves me, deeply. So maybe I was among those fellow human beings.
Here's hoping for better understanding of it. Maybe. And I hope you enjoyed it through my lens, too.
